Ooooh A Facebook Page!!!

Hello All

Well...ive been a bit busy this weekend so far and ive changed all my photos in my Folksy shop and have all items so far listed, you can view them at www.folksy.com/shops/EveryCloud

I have also created my very own facebook page for every cloud although i need someone to design me an avatar to co ordinate with my banner that is the correct size for a facebook profile pic so i will need to sort that... see what you think www.facebook.com/evercloud.silver.jewellery

I have also been playing with some idea for my next range to mix it up a bit....so watch this space!!

As for my resolutions:

 

Weight: Put on 1.5lb's this week!! At least i'm honest..need to get back on track:-/

Money: Not great, chipped away at my savings this month as needed 4 new tyres on the car :-/

Gym: Not good, not been at all this week :-/

CIPS: Still not full certificate as i'm waiting until pay day to pay for membership :-/

Jewellery: This is the only resolution thats completely on track, lots of progress this week :-)

 

I'm so glad i decided to do these weekly updates on my resolutions beacause i really wanted to stick to them this year as they are logical resolutions that would much improve my next year if i acheive them this year and i can see from this update i am not doing well....so...i plan on getting on track and next weeks update should be much better!!

At Last! Items Listed!

Hello All

I have at last made and listed some of my new creations in my Folksy shop...although i have relised that my 'Whats in my Folksy shop now...' newsfeed on my blog isnt working so i'll have to try and sort that...so..i'll give you a peek of one of my new bracelets...what do you think?

 

 

Well...my brain is fried from listing items on Folksy all afternoon and i am eager to get away from the laptop so thats it for today folks...i'll be back with a full update and hopefully more items next Sunday.

More like the tortoise.....

Hello All

Well as you will see from my post title things with my jewellery shop on Folksy aren't moving as swiftly as i would have liked...my new range takes a long time to make as its very fiddly and i also missed the postman with my latest delivery of supplies and havent got time to collect it from the PO until tomorrow evening! :(

So...this weekend I have been unable to craft as I have ran out of supplies...I only bought enough the first time round for one bracelet and one necklace to check my design idea worked and check that I liked it before I went crazy and purchased loads of supplies!!

I have however, managed to drag my old jewelley supplies organiser boxes back out of the garage and started organising my supplies for my new range again and had a good clear out of anything that is of no further use to me as my new range is very specific...

I have to say I am oh so pleased with the first pieces for my new range and I love my new 'theme' that will run through all of the ranges for my new shop.  I feel I have really progressed and I am finally making jewellery that is a true expression of my character and that of those that will choose to wear my creations.

I hope to have enough items to list in my Folksy shop within 4 weeks...as soon as I have listed items in my shop again I will be back in the forums on Folksy getting my name back out there and getting my followers numbers up again hopefully! I dont see the point in doing it whilst my shop is still empty.

So..as for day to day life...my day job is still good, I love it. ( I feel so lucky everytime I say that).  I am up early todayto get my blog updated to at least try and help with one of my new years resolutions and also get my house cleaned!!  All of this wet weather and snow has made my garden like a mud pit..that...mixed with a very energetic dog and a cream carpet is proving to me a very irritating mix!!

Then later on i'm off to my mums for dinner...yesterday I managed to meet up with four friends for a chatter over a gingerbread latte at Costa which was lovely...I really dont spend enough time catching up with friends...its so easy to get carried away with everyday life, work, the gym, walking the dog, making jewellery, shopping, cleaning...the lists are so long that time with friends and family dont get enough time..but really when you look at that list they should be at the top of it!!

This I am going to try and work on...I have two very good friends back in Nottinghamshire that I really need to catch up with too..after pay day at the end of the month I am going to get making some plans!!

So...i'll add 'making time for friends and family' to my list of resolutions..so...here's the gruesome truth over my resolutions again!!

The Gym: Well...haven't been since last Sunday! I'm supposed to go Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
                  & Sundays, I aim to start again this Tuesday...
Weight:     Possibly a side effect from my lack of gym...i have stayed exactly the same again!!
Posititvity:Trying to progress on this one, i think its going well...
Jewellery: Well...i would like to have my shop back up and running by now but the ball is rolling
                  and i'm still managing to update my blog weekly so i'm pleased:)
CIPS:        I have received my basic cert!! Yippee!!  I now have to fill out my application, send it off
                  & wait to see if its approved so watch this space...
Money:     Things are oh so tight this month, super tight, I am sooo desperate for some new clothes
                  and im not just saying that...i really am, i havent bought  new item of clothing for just over
                  a year!!  I am really trying to resist the urge although it is genuinely a need now and not a
                  want so i may have to give in on this one but i'm trying to wait until after pay day!
Holiday:    Still determined to get one in this year..prob September time...

Third post lucky...

Hello All

Well...here I am again, updating my blog on a Sunday again as promised!!  Gosh i'm getting good at this!  And...as its my third blog post..your lucky enough to see a sneaky pic of my new jewellery range....

In this photo is my first necklace of my new 'Message' range and behind it you will see the matching bracelet I have made.  These designs are very time consuming to make, especially as I chose to work with such small beads etc...only 3mm!  But the necklace and the bracelet both look stunning (in my opinion) and finally have the look I was going for...much more 'me'.

All of my pieces are branded with a sterling silver tag reading 'My Beady Eye' on one side and 'Handmade by Andrea Paulie' on the other side.  Also..carrying the trademark through and following on from the theme of my shop banner..all of my items carry a Tibetan Silver cloud charm and a Tibetan Silver angel charm.  My pieces in this range will also all carry a message to inspire.

I will not be lisiting in my Folksy shop until I have a few more items to list and until I have decided exactly how I want to stage my photos...I have some ideas, I just need to have a play around in good light and see what works best.  My next make will be a chunkier set with large black crystals.  I hope to post a sneaky pic of those next week too.

I still have decisions to make on packaging before I open my shop again, I have new business cards, new bags etc but I really want to package my items to ensure they travel well as so much car is taken when I make my items, and they take quite a while to make each piece, I would hate for them to suffer on their travels and it means alot to me that each piece is presented to a high standard.

So...watch this space for more jewellery shop news....

And I haven't forgotten my update on my new years resolutions, so here's the gruesome truth...

Weight:   Still the same, havent been doing very well, not been sticking to fitpal..
Money:   Although I saved into my ISA lst week...I have spent way too much on jewellery supplies
Gym:       Didnt go at all in the week but I went yesterday and today & aim to go this week too...
CIPS:      Well, as I said, I passed, although I havent received my certificate yet...hmmmm....
Holiday:  Maybe towards the end of the year..depends how my saving money resolution goes!
Jewellery: Well, first items in new range made & blog still being updated weekly..not bad..

Well...its a good job I re cap on here once a week as it brings to light in my mind the areas I'm failing at..ive never made resolutions before, but this year I really want to keep to them, they are real points in my life that needed work, and if I stick to acheiving what I want to acheive this year...next year will be far better...

Highlighting my resolutions this week has made me realise that this coming week I need to eat better and stick to fitpal, keep up the gym, spend as little as possible and no more buying jewellery supplies this month and chase up my CIPS certificate.

As for day to day life...my day job is super super hectic as usual, I'm an Engineering Buyer for a Sheet Metal Manufacturing Company and I am lucky enough to work for one of my best friends...and I am lucky enough to genuinely like the majority of people I work with...I am very blessed with my day job and I love it there..however...working for one of your best friends has its downsides too...I'm super duper busy, I get put upon and in turn I work myself hard because the success of their company is important to me...but all in all...I know im lucky to have what I do:)

My dog is super lovely as usual..just about to take her on her second long walk of the day...

Havent managed to catch up with the family this weekend but I have managed to catch up with two of my best friends who both had some exciting news to share with me so that was lovely...

Anyway...enough burbling for one week..
