Ooooh A Facebook Page!!!

Hello All

Well...ive been a bit busy this weekend so far and ive changed all my photos in my Folksy shop and have all items so far listed, you can view them at www.folksy.com/shops/EveryCloud

I have also created my very own facebook page for every cloud although i need someone to design me an avatar to co ordinate with my banner that is the correct size for a facebook profile pic so i will need to sort that... see what you think www.facebook.com/evercloud.silver.jewellery

I have also been playing with some idea for my next range to mix it up a bit....so watch this space!!

As for my resolutions:

 

Weight: Put on 1.5lb's this week!! At least i'm honest..need to get back on track:-/

Money: Not great, chipped away at my savings this month as needed 4 new tyres on the car :-/

Gym: Not good, not been at all this week :-/

CIPS: Still not full certificate as i'm waiting until pay day to pay for membership :-/

Jewellery: This is the only resolution thats completely on track, lots of progress this week :-)

 

I'm so glad i decided to do these weekly updates on my resolutions beacause i really wanted to stick to them this year as they are logical resolutions that would much improve my next year if i acheive them this year and i can see from this update i am not doing well....so...i plan on getting on track and next weeks update should be much better!!

More like the tortoise.....

Hello All

Well as you will see from my post title things with my jewellery shop on Folksy aren't moving as swiftly as i would have liked...my new range takes a long time to make as its very fiddly and i also missed the postman with my latest delivery of supplies and havent got time to collect it from the PO until tomorrow evening! :(

So...this weekend I have been unable to craft as I have ran out of supplies...I only bought enough the first time round for one bracelet and one necklace to check my design idea worked and check that I liked it before I went crazy and purchased loads of supplies!!

I have however, managed to drag my old jewelley supplies organiser boxes back out of the garage and started organising my supplies for my new range again and had a good clear out of anything that is of no further use to me as my new range is very specific...

I have to say I am oh so pleased with the first pieces for my new range and I love my new 'theme' that will run through all of the ranges for my new shop.  I feel I have really progressed and I am finally making jewellery that is a true expression of my character and that of those that will choose to wear my creations.

I hope to have enough items to list in my Folksy shop within 4 weeks...as soon as I have listed items in my shop again I will be back in the forums on Folksy getting my name back out there and getting my followers numbers up again hopefully! I dont see the point in doing it whilst my shop is still empty.

So..as for day to day life...my day job is still good, I love it. ( I feel so lucky everytime I say that).  I am up early todayto get my blog updated to at least try and help with one of my new years resolutions and also get my house cleaned!!  All of this wet weather and snow has made my garden like a mud pit..that...mixed with a very energetic dog and a cream carpet is proving to me a very irritating mix!!

Then later on i'm off to my mums for dinner...yesterday I managed to meet up with four friends for a chatter over a gingerbread latte at Costa which was lovely...I really dont spend enough time catching up with friends...its so easy to get carried away with everyday life, work, the gym, walking the dog, making jewellery, shopping, cleaning...the lists are so long that time with friends and family dont get enough time..but really when you look at that list they should be at the top of it!!

This I am going to try and work on...I have two very good friends back in Nottinghamshire that I really need to catch up with too..after pay day at the end of the month I am going to get making some plans!!

So...i'll add 'making time for friends and family' to my list of resolutions..so...here's the gruesome truth over my resolutions again!!

The Gym: Well...haven't been since last Sunday! I'm supposed to go Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
                  & Sundays, I aim to start again this Tuesday...
Weight:     Possibly a side effect from my lack of gym...i have stayed exactly the same again!!
Posititvity:Trying to progress on this one, i think its going well...
Jewellery: Well...i would like to have my shop back up and running by now but the ball is rolling
                  and i'm still managing to update my blog weekly so i'm pleased:)
CIPS:        I have received my basic cert!! Yippee!!  I now have to fill out my application, send it off
                  & wait to see if its approved so watch this space...
Money:     Things are oh so tight this month, super tight, I am sooo desperate for some new clothes
                  and im not just saying that...i really am, i havent bought  new item of clothing for just over
                  a year!!  I am really trying to resist the urge although it is genuinely a need now and not a
                  want so i may have to give in on this one but i'm trying to wait until after pay day!
Holiday:    Still determined to get one in this year..prob September time...

Boo!! I'm Back!!

Hello All!

Well...here I am again...some people will remember me but for those of you who dont...i used to have a blog & a jewellery shop on Folksy & Etsy called 'My Beady Eye', i did quite well & felt like progressing from costume jewellery to sterling silver jewellery..i wanted to start afresh and so i started a new shop on Folksy called 'Every Cloud Silver by My Beady Eye'.

I never really got this shop off the ground properly before i made a huge move from Nottinghamshire back to Warwickshire, this move meant new house, new day job...new life basically...during the move & the changes that took place as a result of it...i'm afraid i closed my jewellery shops on Folksy, shut my blog & my website & basically disappeared for nearly two years!!

Whilst i have been away i have moved county, moved job (I love my new day job, I work as an Engineering Buyer for a sheet steel manufacturing company and everyone there is great, I have been there 18 months now), I have moved house (been in my new house 2 years in March and i am very settled here), I have studied & gained my MCIPS qualification so I am now a fully qualified Buyer, finally after working in Purchasing for 9 years..basically alot has changed & now i am finally starting to feel more settled for the first time in years...its time to start taking stock of my life again!

So...this is where my jewellery comes into it again, I love making jewellery, its a huge part of me that i have missed over the past two years, i always knew i would pick it up again...and now is the time.

I have a shop ready to fill on Folksy, there is nothing in it as yet but i have lots of ideas for items to make & a strong running theme throughout, I am just waiting for pay day at the end of the month from my day job so that i can afford my jewellery making supplies!!  January is a looooong month!

I also have a twitter account where i will be tweeting about my shop @AndreaPaulie & i am also starting my blog up again, this post will be the first of many so watch this space!

I have hardly any followers yet but i am hoping that will change over time...

So...its the start of a new year and this year I have many resolutions...well...more like things i would like to acheive during 2013, ive never made resolutions before but this year i intend to stick to them and make positive changes this year so that 2014 i can reap the benefits..

My resoloutions / planned acheivements for 2013 are...

To loose 1.5 stone in weight
To let go of the past and be more optimistic
To become financially secure & start saving properly every month
To gain my CIPS qualification - Ive just acheived this one!!! Woohooo its a start!!!
To start my jewellery shop & blog up again & keep it going
To go to the gym minimum 3 times per week
To go on at least 1 weeks hot holiday abroad

The reason for me writing them down here is to make them real and make me stick to them..so...every week i will keep you updated in my progress towards my goals...for the first goal, i have just signed up to fitpal and i am getting on with it great...i will be weighing myself every Saturday and will be blogging every Sunday so i will keep you updated on my progress...

Anyway...thats all for now...my first blog post in a long time and i will be blogging now every Sunday so i look forward to speaking with you again soon!!
